Enrollment and Degree Verifications
The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) is Tacoma Community Colleges authorized agent for degree and enrollment verifications. We report student enrollment to NSC after the census day of the current term. To access your enrollment verification certificate:
- Login to the Portal.
- Locate and select the Enrollment Verification tile. Selecting the Enrollment Verification tile will take you to the National Student Clearinghouse site for verifications.
- Locate the first bullet point and select Current Enrollment or All Enrollment.
- Select the, "Obtain an enrollment certificate" hyperlink. Your computer should automatically start downloading a certificate.
Enrollment Letter
Enrollment Services can assist with specific verifications including creating enrollment status letters for non-attendance, military ID and good standing. When requesting a letter for Military ID or benefits a student must be full-time and indicate their anticipated graduation date. A letter can also be made regarding admission acceptance. When requesting a letter of admission indicate which quarter you will be starting with Tacoma Community College. Submit enrollment letter request via TCC email to enrollmentservices@jdzruiran.com. Request will be processed within five business days.
Form Completion
If you have a form that needs completing by us email the form to enrollmentservices@jdzruiran.com. This type of form is normally given to students by housing entities, colleges using transfer forms, vehicle insurance companies for good driver discounts, in-school deferment requests, scholarships, work permits, the Department of Labor and Industries, health insurances and the Social Security Administration. Request will be processed within five business days.
Third Party Verification
The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) is Tacoma Community Colleges authorized agent for degree and enrollment verifications. Your request can be made at www.degreeverify.org. All third party phone and email inquires to Tacoma Community College will be directed to the National Student Clearinghouse site. Third parties include Hire Right, Sterling InfoSystems, PreCheck Inc, First Advantage-LexisNexis, Upstart Network Inc, Omnisec International Investigations Inc etc.
In some cases the Clearinghouse is not able to verify student enrollment. Some instances are: a record contains a block of directory information, the request is seeking information that Tacoma Community College does not designate as directory information, the NSC cannot identify the requested record or the requestor is seeking information that educational institutions do not provide to the National Student Clearinghouse. In the following instances contact Enrollment Services for verifications using your TCC email. Tacoma Community College email will be the primary mechanism for official College communications to students, including enrollment and student account information, reports required by federal consumer information requirements, and general announcements and information. Include your student id number, first name, last name and telephone number in your request.
